  1. Preheat broiler on medium-high heat. Brush salmon portions liberally with barbecue sauce. Broil, brushing with sauce often until desired doneness.
  2. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and toss well to combine. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  3. Move salad to bowls and top with salmon, extra sunflower seeds, and black pepper.
