Cattlemen’s® Carolina Tangy Gold BBQ™ Sauce is blended with char-roasted yellow pepper and a hint of Frank’s® RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce to create a speed scratch version of this South American/Peruvian sauce.

  1. Blend all ingredients in food processor.
  2. Heat on medium for 10 minutes before use.

CHEF’s TIP!

The Peruvian Aji Amarillo pepper is yellow and moderately spicy.


Although not readily available in the states, this recipe utilized domestic yellow bell peppers and adds the heat and complex flavors with Cattlemen’s Gold and Frank’s RedHot.


This sauce is great for Latino inspired pasta dishes, meatballs, smoked or braised chicken thighs, braised or slowly smoked meats like short ribs and pork shoulder.


The unique yellow color lends itself to beautiful plate presentations with other vibrant colored Hispanic sauces such as green herb chimichurri and red tomato salsas.
