Place softened butter in the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat with paddle attachment on medium until butter is light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
Scrape down sides of bowl and add desired seasonings. Beat on medium for 3-4 minutes, scrape bowl and repeat until seasoning is evenly distributed.
Lay a long sheet of plastic wrap down on a work surface. Place compound butter in a long 6-8 inches up from the bottom edge of the plastic wrap. Fold that excess over top the butter long and pull it tight over it (similar to sushi). Roll the log into the plastic. Grab the excess on either side and, while holding tight, pull/roll the log towards you. Alternatively, you can pipe the softened butter into a decorative dish.
