Recipe Details

Crispy wings tossed in the popular and slightly bitter flavor of Guinness with just a touch of Frank's RedHot Buffalo Wing sauce.

  1. Heat beer in a small pot. Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to simmering beer, whisk with wire whip and cook until it thickens and lightly coats the back of a spoon. Remove from heat and add Frank's RedHot, sugar and butter.
  2. For each order; toss 1 lb. wings in 1/3 cup of sauce. Serve hot.
  3. Serve with celery and the guest's choice of dressing to dip

For an interesting Irish inspired indulgent dinner; braise a pork shoulder in this glaze thinned with more beer, then toss the shredded meat with glaze and serve it with steamed cabbage and boiled potatoes.

This glaze/sauce truly defines the somewhat bitter flavor of Guinness.

It's best served with foods that have a high level of protein fat such as wings and pork shoulder.
