Recipe Details

A Hispanic inspired hot sauce with the soothing addition of buttery caramelized onion, roasted cumin and ancho pepper. 

  1. In a heavy bottom pot over medium heat melt butter and bacon drippings. Add onions and saute until caramelized.
  2. Add cumin, ancho and Frank's RedHot® Original sauce. Puree in a blender. Hold refrigerated for service.

CHEF’s TIP!

This sauce is wonderful on wings, to glaze grilled chicken or pork, or even added to queso! Try it on the Mexi Meat Pizza with Cayenne Caramelized Onions

To increase the heat increase the ancho pepper or add chipotle pepper.
