Cattlemen’s® Chipotle BBQ Sauce cut with cocoa powder, toasted Ancho Chile powder.

  1. In hot pan toast Ancho chile powder for 30 seconds. Hydrate Coca and Ancho powders in water.
  2. Mix all ingredients and let sit 12-24 hours to let flavors bloom and marry.

This sauce is reminiscent of Mole or Mole BBQ without calling it Mole.


It’s deep, rich and flavorfully balanced with acidity and sweetness.


A perfect sauce for ribs, chops, beef, whole full flavored fish and grilled chicken.


Consider adding instant coffee and additional water for another variation and robust sauce.
