Rich, smoky, and loaded with flavor this Adobo Sauce is a fantastic base for recipes.
- In the pitcher of a blender add chipotle chile pepper and boiling water. Cover with lid and allow to hydrate for 15 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, vinegar, lime juice, garlic, brown sugar, salt, oregano, cumin, cinnamon, black pepper, and allspice. Blend until smooth.
- In a sauce pan heat oil over medium high heat. Pour in blended chile mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer sauce for until thickened, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Refrigerate until needed.
