  1. In a food processor combine basil, oil, pine nuts, garlic, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Process until pureed.
  2. Add cheese and pulse to incorporate. Hold refrigerated for service.

Replace the pine nuts in this recipe with sunflower seed for an allergen-free alternative.
