An authentic fresh herb pesto is made with parsley, cilantro and oregano in a simple dressing that includes Frank’s® RedHot® Buffalo Wing Sauce, olive oil and water.

  1. Place chopped parsley, cilantro, and oregano in a blender or small food processor.
  2. Combine Frank’s, oil, and water. Slowly add to herbs and puree. Adjust with more Frank’s, oil and water if necessary to create a pourable pesto sauce.
  3. Add onion. Add sweetener if desired.

This sauce is beautiful and tasty when made freshly every day.


Day-old Chimichurri can be added to soups or stew.


The red onion is added at the end to retain its character and avoid onion juices making the entire sauce bitter.


Traditionally Chimichurri is a steak garnish and condiment for roasted and smoked meats.


Use it on burgers, sausages, and grilled chicken or in any hearty meat sandwiches.


It's also wonderful over rice and pasta dishes.


Combine with mayonnaise, sour cream or Greek yogurt to create a nice fresh herb sandwich spread.
