A sweet and tart braised red cabbage side dish.
- In a sauce pot over medium-low heat melt butter. Add onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add cabbage, apple, water, vinegar, sugar, salt, black pepper, and caraway seed. Stir to incorporate.
- Increase heat to medium and add apples. Cover with a lid and cook until tender, stirring occasionally. Hold hot for service or cool completely and reheat for service.
