Cholula Bacon Cheeseburger | McCormick For Chefs®

A premium cheeseburger loaded with bacon and Mexican flavors from Cholula® Original Hot Sauce; featuring arbole and piquin peppers.

4 each Hamburger Patties, 80/20, 6 oz
2 tbsps Grill Mates ® Hamburger Seasoning
4 each Hamburger Bun
4 tsps Butter
1 cup Frenchs ® Crispy Fried Onions
1/2 cup Cholula® Original Hot Sauce
4 each Mild Cheddar Cheese, slices
6 each Bacon, slices, halved
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
4 each Lettuce Leaves
4 slices Beefsteak Tomato, slices
12 slices Avocado
8 each Red Onion Ring, 1/8"
4 tsps Cilantro, chopped
4 each Lime Wedges,1/6" cut

Procedure

Service

Set grill or flat top griddle to medium-high. For each serving, season 1 burger patty with 1 1/2 teaspoons Hamburger Seasoning and grill to desired doneness. Butter both sides of 1 bun with 1/2 teaspoon butter and grill until golden brown.
Top patty with 1/4 cup crispy onions, drizzle with 2 tablespoons Cholula, and cheese. Place under cheese melter or broiler to melt the cheese.
Plate bottom of bun and top with burger. Top with 3 halves of bacon. Serve open-faced with top bun dressed with 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, a lettuce leaf, tomato slice, 3 avocado slices, 2 onion rings, and 1 teaspoon chopped cilantro. Serve hot.

Chef's Tip!

This sandwich is also great with Cholula® Chipotle, Chili garlic, or Green Pepper.

For a hotter version replace cheddar with pepper jack and replace the onions with French's® Crispy Jalapenos.
